Fedorovskaya.jpg (342 × 450 pixel, file size: 55 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

The 10th-century Fedorovskaya icon from Kostroma.

People of Gorodets believe that it is the same icon that disappeared from their city during a Tatar raid in 1408. When the icon was recovered in Kostroma a year later, they demanded that it should be returned to Gorodets but received a copy instead.
