Classical Statue of Pallas, photo-engraving from 1899 book

PALLAS.
Photo-engraving from the original marble statue in the Vatican at Rome.
This statue is known as Pallas Giustiniani. It was found in the temple of Minerva Medica on the Esquiline Hill, and is supposed to be a copy of a statue by Pheidias. It is admirably preserved, and is sculpted in the finest Parian marble.
