Branta sandvicensis (Nēnē or Hawai'ian Goose), part of the Volcano National Park flock. There are several groups of Nēnē in the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park; this one lives at the northern end of the park and can regularly be seen at the Volcano Golf Course where they browse for fresh greens and other food.
In this picture, the rightmost bird shows the strong toes with much-reduced webbing. This is an adaption for negotiating the lava rocks among which this species has evolved.
Photo taken by Eike Wulfmeyer, next to Volcano Winery, Volcano HI, circa 12-AUG-2002.
