An Australian rules football match at the Richmond Paddock, Melbourne, in about 1866. The building in the background is the Melbourne Cricket Ground pavilion. This wood engraving by Robert Bruce (c.1839-1918) was made on July 27, 1866 and appeared in the Town & Country Journal, January-June 1871.
