The plugboard of an Enigma machine, showing two pairs of letters swapped: S-O and J-A. Deutsch: Steckerbrett (im Bild ist A mit J und S mit O gesteckert)
English: The plugboard (Steckerbrett) is positioned at the front of the machine, below the keys. When in use, there can be up to 13 connections. In the above photograph, two pairs of letters are swapped (S-O and J-A).
Nederlands: Het stekkerbord met enkel ingevoerde stekkerparen.
Русский: Коммутационная панель в передней части машины. Могло использоваться до 13 соединений. На фотографии две пары букв переключены (S-O и J-A).
