Irishcrownjewels.jpg (300 × 177 pixel, file size: 36 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
Image of the stolen Irish Crown Jewels, published in Hue and Cry, which was published by the Royal Irish Constabulary and the Dublin Metropolitican Police twice a week. The image was published in 1907.
Image long out of copyright and the magazine ceased publication in 1922 when the RIC was replaced by a new police force. (BTW, a couple of websites on the net claim copyright. That is bullshit. According to the Garda Siochána, which replaced the RIC, no images from Hue and Cry have ever been re-copyrighted and anyone claiming copyright is "lying through their teeth" (in the words of the Garda).
