The Phillipines were a U.S. colony in this time frame and a commonwealth of the United States just prior to their conquest by the Japanese in WWII. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phillipines Shouldn't they be the same colour as Alaska?

I see two edits that need to be made: Equatorial Guinea (Rio Muni), which consists of a mainland rectangle just south of Cameroon (in Africa) as well as an island in the Gulf of Guinea -- this was a Spanish possession up until the 1970s, and should be khaki-colored, just like the Western Sahara. Also, Greenland, Iceland and the Faeroe Islands were all Danish colonies at the time of this map, and should all be khaki-colored, since Denmark pulled out of the league. I also agree with the above poster that Philippines should be the same colour as Alaska/Hawaii/Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands/Guam/American Samoa. Thanks for the map -- great work!

 • The colour for Korea, Taiwan and Manchuria is wrong, they should be dark yellow since Japan left.-- 23prootie 05:08, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Iceland was not a Danish colony. It was a part of the kingdom which in 1918 received independence, sharing the monarch with Denmark until 1944. Denmark joined the League in 1920, but Iceland never did so it should be coloured accordingly, unlike Denmark. Greenland was a colony and is coloured ok. The Faroes were an integral part of Denmark and if added, they should be coloured the same way as Denmark. Valentinian T / C 08:02, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Korea and Taiwan should be marked (beige) as colonies of a member nation that left (Japan) and never returned. Manchuria becomes harder as the map is listed 1920-1045. From 1920 to 1931 Manchuria was under a warlord federated to or as part of China, however from 1931-1945 Manchuria was a seperate (puppet) nation (though acknowledged by precious few other nations) under the control of Japan. It should not be marked as a colony of Japan or as a nation that was ever a member. I believe it should be marked (purple) as a nation that was never a member, or hashed with the same color as China and the colour for a nation never a member.

What about making it look like Iraq but with a tri-colour.-- 23prootie 00:41, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
