Britain, c. AD 500, roughly the period of the legendary King Arthur. Brython kingdoms are labeled in black, Pictish kingdoms in brown, Goidelic kingdoms in blue, and Germanic polities in red. Based in part upon David Nash Ford's "Early British Kingdoms" and on information derived from Mike Ashley's Mammoth Book of British Kings and Queens, Bruce Gordon's Regnal Chronologies, and other sources. |
