Comparison of remiges of an owl (left) and a hawk (right). The fluffy margin of owl feathers which silences their wingbeats can be seen. Missing barbs in owl feather due to damage. Species are probably Tawny Owl (Strix aluco) and Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo). Scale is 5 millimeters/square. |
