An officer aboard the HMAS Melbourne (FFG 05) looks through the ship’s binoculars (big eyes) while on bridge watch in Gulf of Oman, March 21, 2004. The Australian ship was participating in a Multilateral Undersea Warfare (USW) exercise conducted in the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command/ Commander Fifth Fleet area of responsibility. The exercise's objective is to promote Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) interoperability between the US, coalition, and multinational forces operating in the region.
